Mike Minor delivered a solid outing from the mound to keep the Gwinnett Braves in the game, but a lack of run support allowed the Louisville Bats to sneak out of Coolray Field with a 3-2 win on Saturday in Lawrenceville.

Minor (3-1) pitched six innings and gave up three runs on just four hits while striking out seven.

In four starts since being promoted to Triple-A, he has struck out at least five batters each time out.

Brandon Hicks led Gwinnett with an RBI on 1-for-4 hitting. Matt Young and J.C. Boscan each went 2-for-4.

The G-Braves and Bats resume play today at 2:05 p.m. with Gainesville High graduate Micah Owings making the start for Louisville, the Triple-A affiliate of the Reds..

Owings will face G-Braves starter Todd Redmond, who threw the first Braves Triple-A no-hitter in more than 30 years the last time he faced the Bats on May 30.
