The Luna’s Tuesday golf group played at Achasta Golf Course in Dahlonega this week.

First place went to the team of Randy Nelson, Steve Hill, Chad Pierce and Larry Miller. The team of Daryl Dunckel, Johnny Nix, Jerry Johns and Doug McMahan took second while Royce Deaton, Stand Davidson Jr., Jim Cornett and Anthony Barrett teamed up for third.

Closest to the pin winners were Frank House on No. 3, Stand Davidson Sr. on No. 5, Gene Cobb on No 11 and Nelson on No. 17.

DPG: The DPG played matches Monday, Wednesday and Friday of this week at Chicopee Woods Golf Course.

On Monday, Terrence Dale took first place with a score of +3. Denis Jordan took second with an even score while Steve Knowles, Dave Jetter and Martha Shell tied for third with a -1.

Dwight Miller won Wednesday’s match with a score of +5 while Billy Corbin and Horace Smallwood tied for second with a +2.
Friday’s match was won by Knowles with a +9. Denis Jordan took second with a +7.

DOGFIGHT: The Wednesday Dogfight took place at Chicopee Woods Golf Course this week.

The first-place team of Mark Black, Steve Leach and Keith Bardes combined for a score of 24-under-par. Greg Lee, Bill Jorgenson and Keith Fitzgerald teamed up for second place with a combined score of 18-under-par.

Roger Stapp won the individual competition with a 63 while Fitzgerald fired a 64 for second place. Bardes placed third with a 65 and Kerry Horton carded a 66 for fourth.

Greg Lee rounded out the top five with a 67.

CMGA: The Chattahoochee Mens Golf Association played a three best ball, aggregated net-points game today at the Chattahoochee Golf Club.

First place went to the team of Larry Cohan, Ralph Prescott, Dave Gleason and Ron Bachman. The team of A.J. Kiker, Jere Cochran, Al Pannell and Clay Bartlett finished in second while Eddie Johnson, Jim Van Dyke, J.B. Johnston and Ben Brooks teamed up for third.

Fourth place went to the team of Bob Henderson, Bob Pyne, Jack Costello and Bud Clegg. The teal of Paul Payne, Wayne Nelson and John Beem finished in fifth.

Closest to the pin winners were Gene Weschler on No. 3, Kiker on No. 5, Pyne on No. 12 and Rick Reed on No. 17.

CLGA: The Chattahoochee Ladies Golf Association played a team play, low-gross event Tuesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Club.

First place winners were Ann Hollobaugh, Sue Cronmiller, Paula Pilgrim and Carolyn Palmer. Second place went to the team of Mona White, Beulah Land, Carolyn Palmer and Nora Gleason.

Closest to the pin winners were Hollobaugh on No. 3 and White on No. 17.
