Oakwood's Chris England shot a 71 and 73 over the first two rounds of the Royal Lakes Championship for the lead on Saturday at its course in Flowery Branch. The final round is today.

Jared Cagle is in second place in the men's championship flight with a two-round total of 146, three shots back of England.

Bud Chandler leads the men's Blue Tee Division with a net score of 70, and Mike Buchanan leads in the white tee division at 69.

Women's Championship flight leaders are
Garnett Smith (85), Elizabeth Stauffer (88) and Terri Chandler (91).

Pam Walton leads the women's red tee group at 67, followed by Pat Kilgore.

CHATTAHOOCHEE MEN'S GOLF GROUP: The Chattahoochee Men's Golf Association played a two-best ball, aggregated-net points game Wednesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Club.

First place was won by the team of Don Gage, Eddie Johnson and Johnny Ingram, Denny Momper, Stu Virgin and Bob Pyne finished second.

The team of Richard McClure, Bill Hardman and Don Wells placed third.

Closest to the pin winners were Jere Cochran (No. 3), Carlyle Cox (No. 5), Jim Hollobaugh (No. 12), and Denny Momper (No. 17).

CLGA: The Chattahoocheee Ladies Golf Association played a Lauderdale event on Tuesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

First place was taken by the team of Ann Hollobaugh, Jackie Summerville and Dana Wilson.

Coming in second place was the team of Mona White, Johann Stone and Ruth Pierce.

Closest to the pin winners were Hollobaugh (No. 3), and White and Carolyn Palmer tied (No. 17).

WEDNESDAY DOGFIGHT: The Wednesday Dogfight group played at Chicopee Woods this week.

In the two-best-ball net event Greg Lee, Jim Arendt, and Darryl Pinner shot a 20-under par to take first place.
Tommy Calhoun, Scott Holcomb, and Keith Fitzpatrick shot a 12-under par and came in second place.

The individual net score winners were Jim Arendt, who shot a 65. Tommy Calhoun and Scott Holcomb shot 67 to place second.

DPG: The Dedicated Players Group played matches this week at Chicopee Woods Golf Club on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Dwight Miller placed first on Monday and was followed by James Roberts in second. Bob Kidd and Dennis Jones tied for third.

Horace Smallwood came in first on Wednesday. Steve Knowles placed second and Terrence Dale finished in third place.

Knowles won Friday's match. Dave Jetter came in second and Norm Phillips and Denis Jordan tied for third.

LUNA TUESDAY: The Luna's Tuesday golf group played at Chicopee Woods this week.

First place went to the team of Donnie Smith, Frank House, Joe Campbell, and Gene Cobb.

Second place was won by the team of Tom Sexton, Larry Miller, Randy Gordy, and Don Rogers. Gene Weschler, Tommy Lowery, Jerry Johns, and Doug Van took third.

Closest to the pin winners were Miller (School No. 4), Sexton (Village No. 7), and Stan Davidson Jr. on (Village No. 4 and School No. 8.)
