The Wednesday Dogfight event took place at Chicopee Woods Golf Course this week.

In the team event, Greg Lee, Geoff Archibald and Larry Miller carded a 17-under-par to finish in a tie with Jim Arendt, Yoshi Keichii and Richard Dry for first place. Clark Spratlin, Archibald and Nick Hart tied for first in the individual event, all three carding a 65. Drye shot a 67 for fourth place. Time Reed fired a 68 for fifth while Roy Bartlett carded a 70 for sixth.

CMGA: The Chattahoochee Mens Golf Associated played its monthly individual flighted strokes competition this week at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

In the white tee flight, Paul Payne took home first place with Leroy Harper finishing second. Doug Glidden placed third, Bob Watson placed fourth and Glynn Rogers finished in fifth.

Don Gage won the gold tee first flight. Clay Bartlett finished in second place with third place going to Don Sorrell. Gene Weschler placed fourth and Ed Pledger and Jim Hollobaugh tied for fifth.

The gold tee second flight winner was Denny Momper with Gary Palmer and Jim Van Dyke tieing for second. Bud Clegg took fourth place with Ben Brooks finishing in fifth.

In the gold tee third flight, first place went to Rolf Legbandt with Nick Grillo placing second. Larry Jewett placed third, J.B. Johnston in fourth and Claude Schneider in fifth.

Closest to the pin winners were Palmer on No. 3, Momper on No. 5, Payne on No. 12 and Ben Brooks on No. 17.

CLGA: The Chattahoochee Ladies Golf Association played a low-gross, low-net event at the Chattahoochee Golf Course on Tuesday.

Low gross was won by Ann Hollobaugh with Mona White finishing second.

The low net winner was Paula Pilgrim with Jewell Floyd and Violet Reynolds tied for second.

Closest to the pin winners were Mona White on No. 3 and Carolyn Palmer on No. 17.

LUNA: The Luna’s Tuesday golf group played at Hammers Glen in Homer this week.

First place went to the team of Steve Hill, Jerry Johns, Grady Smith and Nelson Wright. Second place was a tie between the team of Donnie W Smith, Tommy Lowery, Cleve Brown and Frank House and the team of Bud Chandler, Tom Sexton, Don Rogers and Juan Luna.

Closest to the pin winners were Grady Smith on No. 2, Doug Van on No. 6, Lowery on No. 13 and Sam McGee on No. 17.

DPG:  The DPG played matches Monday and Wednesday this week at Chicopee Woods Golf Course.

On Monday, Terrence Dale won with a score of +10. Jerry Shell was second with a +5. Horace Smallwood took third with +1 and Dwight Miller and Bob Kidd tied for fourth with a score of even.

Horace Smallwood took first place in Wednesday’s individual event with a +7 and paired with Denis Jordan to also take first in the team competition with +4. Steve Knowles and Jerry Shell placed second with a score of +2.
