Local golf: CLGA holds low-net, low-gross outing at Chattahoochee

The Chattahoochee Ladies Golf Association played an individual low-gross, low-net event Tuesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

In the first flight, Ann Hollobaugh won low gross and Sue Cronmiller took low net. Ann McMullan won low gross in the second flight with Kirsten Coleman winning low net.

McMullan also won closest to the pin on holes No. 3 and No. 17.

DOGFIGHT: Greg Lee, Scott Thompson, Tom Frier and Mike Gilliam teamed up to win last week’s Wednesday Dogfight event at Chicopee Woods.

The teams of Roger Stapp, Dan Arthurs, Mark Black and Yoko Komoto tied for second place with Chris Jones, Ron Melin, Will Lowe and Terry Scott.

Individually, Vince Jonte and Black tied for first while Lee, Len Kaper and Lowe tied for third place.

CMGA: Jere Cochran, Ben Brooks, Jim Van Dyke and Rick Lane teamed up to win the Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association’s three-best-ball, net-strokes game Wednesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

Scott Adams, Karl Goellner, Dave Long and Ken Uyl tied Bob Pyne, Don Gage, Clay Bartlett and Bob Watson for second place.

Closest to the pin winners were Gene Weschler (No. 3), Jack Costello (No. 5), Jim Carroll (No. 12) and Lane (No. 17).
