Corey Mote, 29, a Habersham Central graduate and Demorest resident, won the MuscleMania 2010 Fitness Britain National Championships in St. Albans, Herts on Sept. 5.

At the event, Mote first won the middleweight class, and then the overall competition, which featured the winners of the light, middle and heavyweight contestants. Mote beat out Jason Barnett, who is a British Natural Bodybuilding Federation National Champion.

Mote’s win earns him the status of MuscleMania professional bodybuilder, which is the highest level for a natural bodybuilder. He will next compete in the MuscleMania Universe & Expo in June 2011.
