Marcus Gouthro won the Region 8-AA boys individual cross country title with a time of 17:01.99, leading Riverside Military to a second place team finish on Wednesday at its home course in Gainesville. Jefferson claimed the boys team title by placing four runners in the top nine, including Addison Cochran (17:49.56), the region’s individual runner-up. Both Riverside and Jefferson qualified for the Class AA state cross country meet, along with third place Union County and fourth place Oglethorpe County.
