Georgia Wolves semi-pro football team tops Talladega Panthers, 48-0

Paced by Casey Randolph’s 200-yard passing effort, the Georgia Wolves semi-professional football team topped the Talladega Panthers 48-0 on Saturday in Munford, Ala.

With the win, the Gainesville-based Wolves will face the Columbus Truth in the semfinals of the National Development Football League tournament May 14 in Forest Park.

Sedrick Morgan also threw for more than 100 yards and a touchdown for the Wolves in the shutout victory. Darius Andrew, from West Hall, spearheaded the defense with 3 1/2 sacks, seven tackles and a fumble recovery. Also on defense, Barry Spencer had 3 1/2 sacks and five tackles.

East Hall High graduate Korentheus Bailey finished with a pair of sacks, four tackles and a forced fumbled, while Stephens County’s Deshawn Jones also had a pair of sacks and double-digit tackles.

At wide receiver, Jherail Rhodes had receptions for more than 200 yards and two touchdowns, while Earl Horne had 80 yards both receiving and rushing for the Wolves.

The championship for the National Development Football League is May 21 at Cabbell Field in Gainesville.
