University of Tennessee linebacker A.J. Johnson, a Gainesville High graduate, was named to the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team on Thursday.
The 6-foot-3 245-pound Volunteer recorded 80 tackles, including 11 against No. 1 LSU and 13 versus No. 2 against Alabama.
The University of Georgia was represented by running back Isaiah Crowell and Malcolm Mitchell, who led the Bulldogs in rushing and receiving, respectively.
