Randy Bailey carded a three-day total of 224 to win the men’s championship flight, while Mary Beth Kiddie shot 178 over 36 holes to win the ladies championship flight at the Royal Lakes Club Championship Sunday in Flowery Branch.
Bailey fired a 72 on his opening round, followed by rounds of 78 and 74 to win by two strokes for his first club title.
In the men’s championship division, Chris England placed second (226), Dan Rhoads third (233) and David Tewksbury was fourth (238).
In the women’s championship, Kiddie shot an 85 in the second round to finish ahead of Garnett Smith (179), Linda Barrett (183) and Elizabeth Stauffer (188).
In the blue tees group, Phil Hoddy won with a 139 and Andy Todd, also the gross winner, took second (147). Luther Beck and Greg Smith tied for third at 151.
Eddie Clark won the white tees first flight division with a 143, while Rick Cooley and Teddie McCraw tied for second at 147. Larry Galaviz shot a 148 for fourth place.
Among the second flight, Bob Bauguss won the white tees group with a 137, followed by Bill Baker (145), Mike Posey (147) and Ron Lowe (148).
Gordie Crenshaw took first from the gold tees with a 146 and Tom Gaston placed second (148). Gross winner Lamar Lea finished third (149) and Pat Smith earned fourth (151).
In the ladies red tee group, Mary Gruwell won with a 151, followed by gross winner Pam Walton (153) and Gail Dillard (156). Pat Kilgore finished fourth at 166.
