Truett-McConnell wins at Reinhardt

The Truett-McConnell College men’s basketball team traveled to the Eagle’s Nest and beat Reinhardt University 91-81 on Tuesday.

Senior guard Roderick Bombard led the way for Truett-McConnell (1-1), as he tallied 25 points, handed out four assists and registered seven steals.

Junior Guard Bernard Nugent and Junior Forward Brandon Joiner paced the Bears with 21 points and 10 points, respectively.

Joiner also led the Bears on the boards with 11 rebounds. The Bears shot 49.2 percent from the field and were 27 of 40 on free throws.

The Bears will host Tennessee Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 15 at the Bears Den in Cleveland.
