Tomlinson's five hits deliver North Georgia 10-0 baseball win over Young Harris

North Georgia’s Steven Tomlinson finished with a perfect 5-for-5 day at the plate as it beat Young Harris 10-0 on Sunday at Zell Miller Field in Young Harris. Four of Tomlinson’s hits drove in runs, including an RBI single in the second inning and run-scoring double in the third inning.

Tomlinson also added run-scoring hits for the Nighthawks (29-7, 14-4 Peach Belt Conference) in the seventh and eighth innings. Tomlinson is the first North Georgia player to have five hits in a game since Derek Hopper in 2013.

On the mound, Dylan Peppers allowed just three hits and racked up 11 strikeouts in eight innings work for No. 13 North Georgia.

On Wednesday, North Georgia hosts Anderson University at 6 p.m. in Dahlonega.
