University of North Georgia softball players Melissa Dickie and Kim McMillan have weekly awards from the Peach Belt Conference on Monday. Buford grad Dickie was named the conference Pitcher of the Week while McMillan was named the Player of the Week.
Dickie pitched a team-high 20 innings last week, allowing eight hits and one earned run while striking out 10 as she went 3-0 in her three appearances.
McMillan collected hits in all six games for the Saints last week with a .562 batting average to go with four doubles, one home run and nine RBIs.
In the Saints’ four conference games, she hit .500 with three doubles and four RBIs. McMillan also drew five walks on the week for a .667 on-base percentage to go with her 1.000 slugging percentage. She scored eight runs and started every game at catcher without an error in 26 chances.
