The North Georgia College & State University women's basketball team was short-handed on the road Saturday evening and fell to Division II's 11th-ranked USC-Aiken, 68-42.

North Georgia (9-7, 3-4 Peach Belt Conference) dropped their second straight game and did so being at a huge disadvantage.

As if playing on the road against the 11th-ranked team in the country wasn't enough, the Lady Saints had to do so with just seven players dressed.

North Georgia's Jessica Trice finished with 13 points and four rebounds to lead the way.

The Lady Saints shot just 28.3 percent (15-53) from the floor and only 18.8 percent (3-16) from behind the 3-point line.

Freshman Stephanie Huffman played all 40 minutes of the contest and finished with 12 points and eight rebounds. Huffman also added seven assists.

USC Aiken (14-2, 7-1 PBC) saw 12 players see action and every one of them recording a basket.
