North Georgia a host site for Super Regional

DAHLONEGA - The NCAA announced Monday evening that North Georgia will be one of eight host sites for the Super Regional round of the Division II Softball Championships starting Friday.

For the third consecutive year, the Saints will play host to the NCAA Super Regionals, as North Georgia looks to advance to the Division II College World Series for a third straight season.

The Saints will face Lenoir-Rhyne University for the second straight year starting at 6 p.m. Friday, with the winner advancing to the World Series in Salem, Va., May 26-30.

The Southeast Super Regional is one of eight sites around the country that will make up the NCAA Division II National Championship field.

Game 2 is at 2 p.m. Saturday, with Game 3, if necessary, to follow at 4:30 p.m.

Every game of the Southeast Super Regional will have a live television broadcast at saintssports.com, while live in-game statistics will follow every pitch of the action.
