The North Georgia College & State University softball team won 8-1, 5-2 against Georgia Southwestern on Friday afternoon in Americus. In Game 1, Jessica Coan (19-5) tossed a complete game and gave up no earned runs, while striking out 16 batters for the Lady Saints (30-6, 4-2 Peach Belt Conference). Sarah Johnson lined a single up the middle to plate a pair of runs and give the Saints a 2-1 lead.
