North Georgia College & State University swept Columbus State in a doubleheader on Sunday, taking a big step toward the program's third straight Peach Belt Conference title.

The No. 4 Lady Saints (36-8, 12-2) hit five home runs en route to 9-2 and 8-3 wins, taking a two-game lead over Columbus State with six games left on the conference slate.

North Georgia returns to action Thursday, traveling to Lander University for a doubleheader.
