College Roundup: Jefferson High graduate Reese Bowles breaks Piedmont College record

Sophomore Reese Bowles, a Jefferson High graduate, broke the Piedmont women’s cross country all-time record Saturday at the Rhodes College Invitational. Bowles ran a 24:48.20, breaking the previous record of 24:51.20 set by Jazmina Szczensna in 2011. Bowles finished in 55th place at the meet, while the Lady Lions finished in 15th overall out of 22 teams.
