For the second time in as many weeks North Georgia College & State University forward Emily Dover has been named the Peach Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Dover is the first conference player this year to earn multiple PBC Offensive Player of the Week awards.

While the Lady Saints rolled to two more wins last week, Dover scored a goal in a 3-2 mid-week win over Carson-Newman, and pair of scores in a 4-0 victory over Flagler.

She currently leads the conference in goals with 10, and total points with 23. She also ranks sixth in the nation in goals per game.

FORMER LADY SAINT TO PLAY FOR TEAM CANADA: Former North Georgia softball standout and current graduate assistant Sarah Phillips returns to the field this month as a member of the Canadian National Team at the Pan American Games.

After making her debut for Team Canada over the summer at the Canadian Open Fastpitch Championships and the World Cup of Softball, Phillips will now compete with the squad at the XVI Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico from October 17-23.

In July at the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championships, Phillips saw action in eight games for the Canadian National Team, posting a 2-2 record with an earned run average of 2.92.

In her time at North Georgia, Phillips led the Saints to three straight NCAA Division II College World Series appearances, including 44 straight wins in the circle during the 2010 season.
