The Brenau University soccer team battled Berry College for 110 minutes and two overtimes Wednesday in Rome and came away with a 0-0 tie.

The game was a defensive struggle, with Berry getting off 12 shots and the Golden Tigers taking seven.

All-conference senior goalie Lisa Lesnick had eight saves for Brenau (1-5-1).

“This was probably the most organized I have seen our defense this year,” coach Mike Lochstampfor said. “We would have love to come away with a win, but Berry is a solid team and to play them to a draw on the road is not a bad result at all.”

Brenau plays host to Young Harris College on Sept. 30 at the Allen Creek Soccer Complex.
