Brenau University will open its 2008 softball season on the road this weekend with doubleheaders against Division II opponents Erskine and Lander on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

The Tigers finished 2007 with a 32-17 record (14-14, fourth place Southern States Athletic Conference) and will be lead this season by junior infielder Maggie Renfro, who was named first-team All SSAC and NAIA All Region last year. Junior pitcher Marisa Lister also earned first-team All SSAC last season, while a trio of Tigers (junior outfielder Brooke Borders, sophomore outfielder Jessica Sealy and sophomore infielder Colleen Sparrow) return after picking up second-team all-conference honors in 2007.
