Chestatee Golf Club will play host to the Christopher Churchill Memorial Golf Tournament this Saturday, July 13. It will be the fourth consecutive year the event aimed toward raising money for the Emory Winship Cancer Group that is developing a blood test to detect kidney cancer is held.
Registration opens at 7 a.m. on Saturday.
The Christopher Churchill Foundation is a nonprofit charity that was founded by Garrett Churchill following his twin brother Christopher’s death from kidney cancer in 2016.
Dr. Viraj Master, director of clinical research for the urology department at the Emory University School of Medicine will be at the tournament to give an update on his team’s research at 8 a.m. Dr. Mehrdad Alemozaffer, who personally treated Christopher, will also be in attendance.
