The G-Braves offense could not figure out Louisville starting pitcher Aroldis Chapman, who threw five shut-out innings in the Bats’ 6-0 win over Gwinnett on Thursday at Louisville Slugger Field.

Gwinnett (20-26) remains in a second place tie with Norfolk in the International League South and 5 1/2 games behind Durham. Louisville (22-25) remains in last place in the IL West and 6 1/2 games behind Columbus.

Jo-Jo Reyes (0-1) allowed four runs on four hits in four innings for Gwinnett. All of the runs were given up in the first inning.

Wladimir Balentien went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored and Luis Terrero went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs for Louisville.

Gwinnett takes on Louisville in the second game of a four-game series at 7:05 tonight at Louisville Slugger Field. Louisville LHP Matt Maloney (4-1, 2.72 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Bats. No pitcher has been announced for the G-Braves.
