Brenau University sophomore catcher Morgan Smith blasted two home runs to lead the No. 25-ranked Golden Tigers past Shorter College 10-1 and 1-0 on Tuesday in Gainesville.

The Golden Tigers (25-9, 8-6 SSAC) won the first game on a three-run walk off home run from Ellen Black. Sarah Applegarth finished with two hits and three RBIs for Brenau.

In Game 2, Smith connected on a solo home run for the game’s only run.

Black picked up the win in the second game with five strikeouts and only allowed two hits.

Brenau plays host to Lee University next Tuesday at the Lanier Point Softball Complex in Gainesville.
