Brenau basketball wins first conference road game

Brenau won its first Southern States Athletic Conference road game of the season 61-52 over Southern Wesleyan on Tuesday night.

Sophomore Meg Henson, a Gainesville High graduate, led the Golden Tigers with 13 points in cluding two 3-pointers to open the game.

Lori Pope added 12 points for Brenau and Tori Collins chipped in 10.

The Golden Tigers led from start to finish fueled by 54-percent shooting from the floor.

Brenau returns to action Thursday when they play Columbia College in Columbia, S.C.
