FLOWERY BRANCH — Wayne Gandy is back for a second stint with the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons signed Gandy, a former starting offensive tackle, on Wednesday, one day after the team said rookie left tackle Sam Baker will see two specialists for a hip injury and miss Sunday's game at Oakland.

Todd Weiner, who started for Baker at left tackle in last week's loss to Philadelphia before leaving the game with a sore knee, said Wednesday he doesn't know if he'll be able to play at Oakland.

Gandy started for Atlanta in 2006-07 before suffering a season-ending knee injury in Week 5 at Tennessee last season.

The Falcons also released tight end Jason Rader, released defensive tackle Sean Conover from the practice squad and signed defensive tackle J'Vonne Parker to the practice squad.
