The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that they have hired Joe Danna as defensive backs coach and have promoted Glenn Thomas to quarterbacks coach and Andrew Weidinger to offensive assistant.

Danna served as an assistant defensive backs coach with the Miami Dolphins for the last two seasons where he worked under Falcons defensive coordinator Mike Nolan. Prior to joining the Dolphins, Danna spent two seasons in Atlanta as a defensive assistant (2008-09).

Thomas served as an offensive assistant for the past four seasons.
