ATLANTA — Braves left-hander Tom Glavine will have his sore shoulder examined after plans for his first start were called off.

The Braves say they have scratched Glavine from his scheduled start on Saturday at Pittsburgh.

The 43-year-old Glavine ended his minor league start with Double-A Mississippi after only two innings on Sunday.

Glavine will be evaluated by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., on Wednesday. Andrews repaired a torn flexor tendon in Glavine's left elbow on Aug. 21, ending the left-hander's 2008 season. Glavine also had what was regarded as a less serious surgery to clean out his shoulder.

The Braves also announced Monday they will recall left-hander Jo-Jo Reyes from Triple-A Gwinnett to start Saturday.
