Class AA's No. 2-ranked Buford football team had 217 yards rushing on Friday to defeat Westminster 32-10 in Buford.

Domonique Swope led the Wolves on the ground with 70 yards on 11 carries while team rushing-leader Seon Jones had 68 yards on 12 carries for Buford (2-1, 0-0 Region 6A-AA).

The Buford scoring started early, with a bad Westminster snap leading to safety. On the next Wildcats possession, the Buford defense blocked a punt which Eric Barr picked up and returned 94 yards for the Wolves' first touchdown.

Junior Nathan Staub took a Alex Ross handoff into the end zone for the 1-yard score in the second quarter, leaving the score 16-10 at halftime.

Buford went scoreless in the third, but put points on the board three times in the fourth quarter to come away with the win. Sophomore David Petroni hit a 37-yard field goal with 8:03 left. Swote scored his second touchdown of the night on a 27-yard rumble with 1:38 remaining and one minute later, Eric Barr scored his second of the night on a 71-yard interception return to give Buford the 32-10 win over Westminster (1-2, 0-0 6B-AA).

Buford plays host to Therrell from 6B-AA at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
