Walton sparks Commerce over Banks County, 28-16

Jamir Walton tallied 166 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries for Commerce in a 28-16 victory over Banks County on Friday in Homer.

Walton scored three times in the first half on an 11-yard run, a 53-yard run and a 13-yard run for the Tigers. Caleb Brooks capped off the Commerce scoring before halftime with a 15-yard pass to J’varius Wood.

Banks County got on the board before the half on a 90-yard kick return for a touchdown by Malcolm Mitchell.

After halftime, Carman Hicks made a 28-yard field goal for the Leopards, and Noah Trebec found Austin Segars on a 30-yard touchdown pass.

Commerce visits Rabun County next Friday in Tiger, while Banks County plays West Hall in Oakwood.
