T. Bently threw three touchdowns Friday night to lead Union County to a 34-6 victory over East Jackson.
Bently threw touchdowns to Tyler Thomas, Jesse Wright and Josh Schultz for Union County (4-6, 2-3 Region 8A-AA).
Union County went up 7-0 in the opening period and found the end zone once more in the second quarter to take a 14-0 lead into halftime. The Panthers scored 14 more in the third quarter.
East Jackson finally got on the board with a touchdown in the period to make it 28-6 going into the final quarter.
Another touchdown for Union County in the fourth put the game at its final score.
Wright also added a touchdown run on the night and lineman Clay Worley, a senior, recovered a fumble and rumbled into the end zone for a touchdown in his final high school football game.
