Riverside plays tough on road, falls at Union County 29-14

Riverside Military Academy hung tough with a one-loss Union County team on Friday night, but the Eagles eventually came up short 29-14 in Blairsville.

Eagles sophomore reciever Javon Thompson had eight catches for 150 yards and a touchdown Friday night in a losing cause.

Riverside senior running back Kaseem Dukes had 17 carries for 58 yards and a touchdown, as well as going 3-for-4 passing for 86 yards passing.

The Eagles defense forced four turnovers. Moleik Campbell had an interception and a fumble recovery, and Juwan Thompson had an interception.

Riverside (1-8, 0-5 8-AA) is host to Social Circle 7:30 p.m. next Friday.
