A 20-point deficit at halftime was too much for Dawson County to overcome as the Tigers lost to Pickens 27-14 on Friday in Jasper.

Tyler Dominy hit Ethan Brown with a 20-yard touchdown pass with 5:09 left in the third quarter to give Dawson its first points of the night. The Tigers' second score came with 6:13 left in the game when Dominy hit Bruce Clark for a 15-yard strike.

Dawson County (0-1) plays host to Gilmer at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
