North Oconee defeated Banks County 41-0 on Friday in Homer to earn to earn its first Region 8-AA championship.

Titans quarterback Blake gaubert passed for 306 yards and four touchdowns to lead North Oconee (10-0, 5-0 Region 8-AA).

Kwon Bryant was the the leading rusher with 93 yards and a touchdown. Nick Colvin added 22 more yards on the ground and a touchdown and had 103 yards receiving on four catches and two touchdowns.

This was North Oconee's fifth shutout of the season.

Banks County takes the No. 2 seed from 8-AA and host Adairsville on Friday in the first round of the state playoffs.
