Jefferson’s Colby Wood tallied 115 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns as the fourth-ranked Dragons rolled to a 51-16 victory against Morgan County on Friday in Madison.

Sammy Williams was the team’s leading rusher with 123 yards and one touchdown for Jefferson (7-0, 3-0 Region 8-AAA). Evan Shirreffs finished 12-of-24 passing for 245 yards and two touchdowns.

T.J. Skelton caught one of those touchdown passes and finished with 166 yards receiving. Rodney Carr caught the other scoring pass and had 46 yards.

The Dragons totaled 494 yards of offense and recorded 18 first downs in the win.

Jefferson hosts crosstown rival East Jackson next Friday.
