Hart blanks Jackson, 49-0

Jackson County was shut out for the second time this season Friday, losing 49-0 to Hart County at Panther Stadium in Jefferson.

"It was a bad day in Pantherland," Jackson County coach Billy Kirk said.

With the win, Hart County (5-3-1, 4-2 Region 8B-AA) secured the third spot in the subregion and will face Banks County at 7:30 p.m. Friday for a berth in the state playoffs.

Jackson County (3-6, 1-5) will play the No. 6 seed from Region 8A-AA at 7:30 p.m. Friday for the final game of the season.
