Habersham loses wild shootout at Chattahoochee, 65-48

Kevin Ellison had 345 yards of total offense and six touchdowns for the Raiders as they lost 65-48 to Chatahoochee in the first round of the Class AAAA state playoffs on Friday in Alpharetta.

Habersham Central (6-5) held a 13-0 lead before giving up 31 points to the Cougars in the second quarter, after which the Raiders were never able to regain the lead.

The Raiders' Zac Franks caught three passes for 112 yards and a touchdown, and Patrick Burns had 10 carries for 43 yards and a touchdown.

Ellison rushed for 214 yards and four touchdowns on 24 carries and was 8 of 16 with 131 yards and two touchdowns through the air. He finishes 2011 with 2,183 yards rushing and 1,125 yards passing with 44 total touchdowns.

The loss completes Habersham Central's season.
