Habersham Central holds off Madison 41-24

Habersham Central improved to 3-2 with a 41-24 win over Madison County on Friday in Danielsville.

Habersham was tied 7-7 with Madison  at the end of the first quarter before outscoring the Red Raiders 34-10 over the next two quarters.

Kevin Ellison continued to put up big numbers as he rushed 18 times for 259 yards and four touchdowns. He had scoring runs of 2, 23, 18 and 73 yards for the Raiders.

Ellison only completed two passes for 61 yards, but both completions went for touchdowns.

The Raiders’ Patrick Burns had 12 carries for 51 yards.

Habersham Central (3-2, 2-2 Region 8-AAAA) will host Winder-Barrow at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
