Gilmer took a 21-0 lead into the locker room at halftime and defeated Dawson County 35-0 Friday in Dawsonville.

"The things is," Dawson coach Jeff Lee said, "I'm proud of our defense for the way they played tonight. Gilmer only had one real scoring drive. We held their offense to low numbers."

Gilmer (1-1) plays host to Dalton and Dawson (0-2) visits Jefferson (1-1) at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
