All Associated Press members in Georgia are eligible to participate in the high school football poll. Those who voted for this week’s poll are: Albany Herald, Albany; Augusta Chronicle, Augusta; Brunswick News, Brunswick; Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, Columbus; Rockdale Citizen, Conyers; Times, Gainesville; Gwinnett Daily Post, Lawrenceville; Marietta Daily Journal, Marietta; Telegraph, Macon; Rome News-Tribune, Rome; Valdosta Daily Times, Valdosta.
After defeating defending 8-AAAA champion Apalachee 52-35 at Falcon Field last Friday, Flowery Branch (3-0) made its debut in this week’s AP Class AAAA top 10 poll, taking the Wildcats’ former spot at No. 8.
The Falcons join Buford as the only area schools ranked in the top 10. The Wolves (2-1) held on to their No. 2 spot in Class AA.
