Flowery Branch inches up; Buford holds at No. 2

Flowery Branch crept up one more spot and Buford held firm to its in this week's Georgia Prep Football Poll, coducted by The Associated Press.

The Falcons (5-0, 5-0 Region 8-AAAA) are up to No. 6 in the Class AAAA rankings after blowing out Rockdale County last week, 49-0. Their closest margin of victory so far is 17 points, and they've scored more than 150 points in their last three games.

Flowery Branch is off this week before returning to action at Habersham Central on Oct. 8.

Buford (4-1), holding steady at No. 2 in Class AA, will open subregion play in 6A-AA on Friday at Decatur. The Wolves defeated Lovett last week, 37-14.
