Fannin tops Banks 13-12, takes 1st place in subregion

Fannin County defeated Banks County 13-12 on Friday night in Blue Ridge.

Dylan Lackey had two touchdowns (one rushing and one receiving) and Jeremy Greenway added 152 yards on 19 carries for the Leopards in the loss at Rebels Stadium.

Lackey finished the game with 67 yards on 17 carries, 24 yards on two catches and quarterback Harrison Dale added 40 yards and a touchdown on 4-for-11 passing.

With the loss, Banks County (6-2, 3-1 Region 8A-AA) falls into second place behind Fannin County. The Leopards will play host to East Hall at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Should Banks County win and Fannin County lose to Union County, the Leopards would be subregion champions.
