Fannin County defeated Jackson County 28-20 on Friday night in Jefferson.

Fannin’s Blake Henry returned the opening kickoff for an 84-yard touchdown Friday in Jefferson. The Panthers responded with Daivon Ledford, who had four consecutive runs until he broke into the end zone.

Jackson County had the chance to go up a score but turned the ball over on downs on the 1-yard line. Fannin County then drove the ball the length of the field and scored after a successful fourth-down pass from Trevor Stone to Henry.

The Panthers’ Kyle Daniel finished 19 of 27 for 183 yards and touchdown passes to Xavier Harper and Ben Brissey.
