Dominy's passing sparks Dawson past Fannin 24-17

Tyler Dominy went 15-for-27 passing with a 165 yards and two touchdowns to lead Dawson County to a 24-17 win over Fannin County on Friday in Dawsonville.

Trailing 17-16 with 5:16 left in the game, Dominy hit Bruce Clark with a 20-yard touchdown pass to put the Tigers ahead for good.

"It was a big win for us," Dawson County coach Jeff Lee said. "Our kids played real well and executed the game plan."

Clark opened the scoring for Dawson County with an 11-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

With 1:02 left in the first half, Dominy hit Ethan Brown with a 49-yard touchdown pass to put Dawson County up 13-3.

Brown added a 21-yard field goal in the third quarter for Dawson County (1-4, 1-0 Region 8A-AA), which plays host to Banks County at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
