Dominy sparks Dawson offense to 56-35 win

Dawson County opened its 2011 football season with a 56-35 win over Pickens on Friday night in Dawsonville.

Dawson quarterback Tyler Dominy continued to flourish under the Tigers new Wing-T/Pistol hybrid offense going completing 15 of his 20 pass attempts for 200 yards and three touchdowns.

Catching all three of the touchdown passes on 90 yards was Dawson County reciever Bruce Clark.

The leading rusher for the Tigers was Zach Martin who had 200 yards on 30 rushes.

Dawson County travels to Ellijay to play the Gilmer Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
