Commerce defeated Athens Christian 10-7 on Friday in Athens.

Freshman Knox Allen scored the lone Commerce touchdown and finished as the game’s leading rusher with 68 yards on 13 carries. Andres Salgado capped off the Tigers’ scoring - all of which came in the second quarter - with a 27-yard field goal.

Caleb Brooks added 55 yards on 16 carries for Commerce, which finished with 240 yards of offense, all on the ground.

The Tigers (4-1, 3-0 Region 8-A) visit Prince Avenue Christian next Friday in Bogart.
