Franklin County defeated Commerce 31-28 on Friday in Carnesville.

The Tigers lost despite Cody Streetman's four-touchdown performance.

Streetman had 88 yards and three touchdowns on the ground while throwing for one, a 26-yard strike to Jesse Savage.

Franklin County led 17-0 at halftime, but Streetman's touchdown rushes of 36 yards, 15 yards and 1 yard put the Tigers back in the game.

"It turned into a track meet in the second half," Commerce coach Steve Savage said. "We cut it to 31-28 with two minutes to go. We got a stop on the next possession, but couldn't score in the final minute."

Franklin ended the game with 410 yards of total offense to Commerce's 271. Quarterback Kevin Harris had 156 yards rushing on 23 carries with two touchdowns and 168 yards passing for Franklin in the win.
