Commerce improved to 6-1 in region play with a 42-0 win over George Walton on Friday in Monroe.

Three scores courtesy of Caleb Brooks powered the Tigers to the shutout win.

Brooks led the team with 62 yards and two touchdowns on three carries and found J’Varius Wood on a 17-yard touchdown pass for the third.

Will Thomas led the Commerce offense with 161 yards and a touchdown on seven carries, and Cole Chancey and Grant Mayberry also scored for the Tigers.

Knox Allen added 78 yards on 13 carries for Commerce (7-2, 6-1 Region 8-A).

The Tigers play host to Lakeview Academy in their final regular season game on Friday in Commerce.
