Buford started with a 88-yard kickoff return by Sean Reynolds in the first quarter and never looked back in a 63-0 shutout win over Banks County on Friday in Homer.
Terrance Wilson added to the Buford score with two touchdowns of his own on a 24-yard run for the second score of the game and a 13-yard fumble recovery to end the first half.
Also in the first half, Josh Thomas increased the Buford lead on a 5-yard scoring run, Dontravious Wilson scored on a 45-yard run, and Reynolds recorded another touchdown on an 11-yard pass from quarterback Montgomery VanGorder. Grant Hall made the score 42-0 on a 35-yard reception from other quarterback Taylor Mitchell.
After halftime, Steve Reese took the ball in off of another fumble recovery, this one for 79 yards. Zavior Hoxie closed out the scoring with a 21-yard touchdown run.
Dontravious Wilson was the Wolves leading rusher with 118 yards on 7 carries, followed by Hoxie with 62 yards on three carries.
The Buford defense held Banks County to -5 yards in the first half and only allowed 130 yards in the second. The Wolves tallied 305 total yards on offense.
Buford returns to action against West Hall next Friday in Buford.
