The Buford Wolves guaranteed themselves a spot in the Region 6-AA championship game by defeating Greater Atlanta Christian 39-7 on Friday in Lilburn.

GAC had only 53 total yards of offense in the first half.

With the win, Class AA's second-ranked Buford moves to 8-1 overall, 4-0 in the subregion. Buford led 24-0 at halftime, after a touchdown and field goal in the first quarter, and scored twice in the third quarter to head into the final period up 38-0. The Spartans would finally get on the board with a touchdown in the waning moments.

The three-time defending state champion Wolves are off next week and will play in the 6-AA region championship game on Nov. 5 against the winner of the Oct. 29 game between Lovett and Westminster.
